Woman hit by SUV on Federal Boulevard in Denver dies

A woman hit by an SUV along Federal Boulevard in Denver on Sunday night has died.

Denver police said the crash happened near the intersection of Federal and 14th Street. An SUV was southbound on Federal shortly after sunset and struck the woman, who was walking on the road.

She was taken to a hospital with serious injuries that on Monday turned fatal, according to a tweet from the Denver Police Department. The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene. Police were investigating. No other details were released.
