Small plane crashes in Teller County, FAA investigating

According to the FAA, the plane, a Cessna T-41B, was flying from Fremont County Airport to Centennial Airport.

TELLER COUNTY, Colo. — Four people were killed when a small plane crashed in Teller County, the coroner said. 

A Teller County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson said deputies are on the scene of the crash, which they said happened Saturday night in rough terrain off Phantom Canyon Road near the Fremont County line. Someone in another plane saw the wreckage and called the sheriff’s office Sunday morning, the spokesperson said. 

Teller County Coroner Stephen Tomsky told KRDO Sunday that four people were killed in the crash.
