Seth Cromwell powers No. 3 Columbine past No. 9 Cherokee Trail – The Denver Post

LAKEWOOD — Seth Cromwell rarely comes off the field for Columbine as the Rebels’ do-it-all running back and outside linebacker.

On Thursday night, in a Top 10 Class 5A showdown at Jeffco Stadium, the dynamic senior showed exactly why as No. 3 Columbine rolled to 52-21 victory over No. 9 Cherokee Trail.

Cromwell totaled four rushing touchdowns and made several tackles on defense. He flexed both arms on his muscular 5-foot-10, 210-pound frame in celebration after each big play.

“Breaking tackles is what I thrive on,” Cromwell said. “People miss and yards come along with it.”

Columbine scored on five consecutive possessions in the first half with a dominant run-first offense under longtime head coach Andy Lowry. He employed three tailback formations on almost every play….
