Police searching for Federal Blvd. shooting suspects in Westminster

DENVER (KDVR) — The Westminster Police Department said officers were searching for at least one suspect in a shooting Saturday evening.

Police said it happened at about 6:30 p.m. near 92nd Ave. and Federal Blvd.

When officers arrived they found a man who had been shot and performed life-saving measures until he was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead, according to a press release.

Police were asking the public to avoid the area as officers searched for possibly two suspects. Police said K-9 units from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office and WPD were searching the area for several hours.
