A pedestrian hit by a motorist in Denver on Friday night died at the scene.

The incident happened at Race Street and East Colfax Avenue, according to the Denver Police Department. Westbound Colfax was shut down by the collision, and the driver involved remained on the scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
