Police said the officer fell off a bridge while chasing a suspect Thursday night.
EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. — A police chase in El Paso County Thursday night ended with a Fountain Police officer being seriously injured in a fall.
According to our partners at KRDO, the pursuit began on Interstate 25 in the Fountain area. Officers with several agencies were pursuing a suspect who had “committed multiple felony crimes,” Fountain Police said.
The car chase ended with police disabling the suspect’s vehicle with tire spikes near South Academy Boulevard and Hartford Street. Three suspects got out of the car and a foot pursuit ensued, according to KRDO.
