Fort Collins 6-year-old bitten by loose dog that's now wanted by animal control

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (KDVR) — Northern Colorado animal control officers are searching for a dog they say attacked a 6-year-old Fort Collins girl last week.

The attack happened on July 1 in a neighborhood near Troutman Park, just off of Goldenridge Way. Victim Lucy Reyling and her family said they had never seen this dog in their neighborhood before and had certainly never experienced this.

Lucy and her brother were walking to a friend’s house a few blocks away, as they’ve done many times, when a stray dog across the street aggressively approached.

“It barked at me and then it came running up to me, and it jumped up and bit me. It felt like 10 dogs bit me at the same time,” Lucy said.
