Eastbound I-70 closed near Eisenhower Tunnel for bridge repair

DENVER — The eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 are closed near the Eisenhower Tunnel while crews perform road work in the area. 

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) said on its website Saturday night that eastbound I-70 was closed at milepost 216, east of the Eisenhower Tunnel, due to emergency bridge repair. 

Traffic is using the off and on ramps at exit 216, which is Loveland Pass, as a local detour, said CDOT.

Drivers are told to expect “significant delays.”
