Colorado Rapids name new president

<The Colorado Rapids promoted Pádraig Smith on Thursday to serve as the team’s newest president.

Smith, who has been with the Rapids for five years as the team’s executive vice president and general manager, signed an extension contract through the 2026 major league soccer season, Kroenke Sports & Entertainment announced.
