COLORADO CORONAVIRUS: Only 7 counties remain at worst COVID-19 level in Colorado

DENVER (KDVR) — After seeing a slight rise in COVID-19 cases from May to July in Colorado, rates continue to drop across the state.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has moved 16 counties into the high level for community transmission:

  1. Garfield County
  2. Lake County
  3. Larimer County
  4. Montezuma County
  5. Pitkin County
  6. Rio Blanco County
  7. San Juan County

The CDC said communities with a high level of COVID-19 transmission should do the following:

As of Monday, the state’s seven-day positivity rate was 9.94%, which is down from 10.78% one week ago. Positivity rate measures the amount of COVID positive tests to the total amount of tests taken.
