Centennial Airport gets $300K subsidy for unleaded fuel

DENVER (KDVR) — Centennial Airport, the first and currently only Colorado airport to offer unleaded gas, has been approved for a price subsidy grant heralded as “a critical step towards eliminating leaded fuels for piston aircraft in Colorado.”

The Colorado Aeronautical Board said the $300,000 grant agreement allows the airport’s fuel servicer to provide unleaded aviation fuel “at nearly the same price as its low-lead counterpart.” The airport reimburses the remaining balance to pilots.
