Denver Ted’s Cheesesteaks has closed indefinitely as of April 18.
After 18 years, the downtown restaurant, one of the most well-known and well-loved cheesesteak spots in town, shut down its only location at 2020 Lawrence St. last month with no immediate plans to reopen, according to the business’ voicemail.
“We hope to see you in the future and do look online for new information, but we want to thank all of you for being great and loyal customers over the years, and we wish you well in the future,” Denver Ted’s voicemail states.
Denver Ted’s originally opened in Capitol Hill in 2004 before moving to its larger downtown location in 2018. Not only did it offer the holy trifecta of a traditional Philly — Cheez Whiz, Amoroso rolls and heaping piles of chopped ribeye steak…
