3 killed in shooting in Custer County, Colorado

CUSTER COUNTY, Colorado — Three people were killed in a shooting after a property dispute in Custer County in southern Colorado Monday, the sheriff’s office said. 

The sheriff’s office said the victims were two men and a woman. Another woman is in critical condition but is expected to survive. 

The sheriff’s office said around 1 p.m., they responded to a report of shots fired on Rocky Ridge Road, a rural area northeast of Westcliffe. They said the situation likely started with a property dispute between neighbors. Law enforcement spent much of the day in a standoff with the suspect.
